
Kyabjé Dudjom Rinpoche, Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje (1904-1988), was the supreme head of the Nyingmapa Order. Poet, author of many books, terton (visionary discoverer of hidden teachings), historian (History and Fundamentals of the Nyingmapa), meditation master and tantric yogi, he was one of the most beloved and grandfatherly of the grand lamas of Tibet. After establishing Yeshe Nyingpo Dharma Centers in Kalimpong, Nepal, Europe and America, he passed away in 1988 in Dordogne, France, and was enshrined in a stupa in a monastery in Bodhanath, Kathmandu, Nepal. In 1976, at the age of 9, Khenpo Chimed Rinpoche
received his first empowerment of the Northern Spiritual Treasures (Jang
Ter) from His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche.
Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (1910-1991) is recognized as one of the greatest realized meditation masters and teachers of all time. The head of the Nyingmapa School of Tibetan Buddhism from 1988 until his passing, he was also the leading proponent of the non-sectarian or Rime tradition. Khenpo Chimed Rinpoche received from
Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche all the Mipham Rinpoche’s transmissions
in 1987 and Nyingtik Yabshi’s transmissions in 1989. ![]() Kyabje Penor Rinpoche. His Holiness the third Penor Rinpoche of Nyingmapa Palyul Lineage for Vajrayana in Tibet. He has succeeded H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche to be the Supreme Head of Nyingmapa Buddhism since 1993. Khenpo Chimed Rinpoche received most of the empowerments and transmissions from his root guru, Penor Rinpoche.
