Aims and objectives
It's Obvious to this 21st century world that the economic and Literacy percentage of Nepal is very low, Nepal is one of the six poorest countries in the world:
- More than 50% of the population survives on less than 55 cents a day.
- Life expectancy is 10 years shorter than in India.
- Half the children suffer from serious malnutrition.
- More then 10 children die every hour due to the lack of treatment.
These facts are related to low literacy rates (the lowest in Asia) More than 85% of families are illiterate; Most of the peoples have suffered under rebels destruction or terrors. The resulting humanitarian crisis has had an enormous impact on schools. As Children's suffers from need of education in life and people suffers from need of religion and culture in the country so, to full fill those needs of the children and people of the country, Khenpo Chimed Tsering Rinpoche has established this foundation "Siddhartha Foundation" in 2004.
The Aims and objectives of Siddhartha Foundation (Which includes Monastery and School) are to provide the perfect education to young children from the border area of Nepal and Tibet who doesn't have the opportunity to study and to maintain their rich culture and religion through their potentials, Most of our students are orphaned and from those families where there's no single literacy persons in home, Our ultimate goal is to educate young children about the everlasting and universal messages of love, kindness and compassion given by the great teacher Lord Buddha 2500 yrs ago, And to feel and lead them to the dignified Human life in the society which is the basic fundamental rights of human beings, And Aims Also to bring liberation to all the suffering beings of this six realms and lead all of them to the everlasting happiness and bliss through the our Siddhartha Foundation. We hope that the pure wisdom of our Education Center can demolish the three poisons Attachment, Anger and Ignorance from the thought of all the sentient beings suffering in these six realms. May Prosperity, peace, compassion, love and harmony flourish not only in this very holy Place of Nepal but also in this whole world.
May Buddha Dharma Flourish.
May Peace Prevail in this world.
